Create Open Conversations
At The Mental Shift CIC, we believe that talking saves lives. One of the core aims of our 60-day Mental Health Awareness Campaign is to create open, honest, and stigma-free conversations about male mental health and suicide prevention.
Too many men suffer in silence. Through workshops, community events, and storytelling, we’re working to change that.
What We’re Doing:
- Hosting free workshops in schools to educate over 1,000 students on mental health and emotional resilience
- Sharing real stories of men affected by suicide to humanise the issue and foster empathy
- Creating safe spaces for men to talk—whether through mentoring, Muay Thai sessions, or peer support groups
- Partnering with organisations to amplify the message and reach more communities
Why It Matters:
- Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50 in the UK
- Many men feel unable to speak about their struggles due to stigma, fear, or lack of support
- Open conversations can lead to early intervention, stronger communities, and saved lives
How You Can Help:
- Share our campaign on social media to help normalise mental health conversations
- Sponsor a workshop or event that brings these conversations to life
- Encourage your workplace or community to get involved and talk openly about mental health
Together, we can shift the narrative—and make sure no man feels alone in his struggle.
Raise Vital Funds for Support Services
Male suicide is a national crisis—and we’re taking action. Through our 60-day Mental Health Awareness Campaign, The Mental Shift CIC is committed to raising £5,000+ to fund essential support services that directly impact the lives of men and boys across the UK. Every pound raised will go towards helping to save lives across the North East of England.
Where Your Donations Go:
- 50% – One-on-one mentoring for men struggling with mental health challenges
- 30% – Community Muay Thai programs that build confidence, discipline, and emotional resilience
- 20% – Campaign materials and outreach to spread awareness and reach those in need
Why It Matters:
- These services provide safe spaces, trusted mentors, and positive outlets for men who often feel isolated or unheard
- Your support helps us deliver free workshops, community events, and long-term programs that change lives
- Every donation helps us reach more people, share more stories, and prevent more tragedies
How You Can Help:
- Make a donation—no amount is too small, every little helps make a difference
- Sponsor a workshop or event to directly fund our outreach
- Provide in-kind support such as venues, refreshments, or printing
- Share our campaign to help us reach our fundraising goals
Together, we can build a future where every man feels supported, heard, and valued.
